About the Sagicor Foundation Scholarship Programme
In keeping with our mandate to enhance the education sector, the Sagicor Foundation offers scholarships to students at the secondary and tertiary levels who are clients, children of clients and children of Sagicor team members.
Foundation Scholarships
As part of its commitment to advancing education, the Sagicor Foundation provides scholarships to deserving students at the secondary and tertiary levels. These scholarships are extended to clients, children of clients, and the children of Sagicor team members, helping to create opportunities for academic success and personal growth.

Tertiary Scholarships
Each year, the Sagicor Foundation scholarship applications open and close in May, where numerous applications are received, and candidates are shortlisted, interviewed and selected on the basis of academic merit, leadership, community involvement and financial need. The tertiary scholarships are awarded to clients, children of clients, and children and children of Sagicor team members, and are renewable for up to four (4) years. In 2025, twenty-seven (27) tertiary students received scholarships valued at J$300,000 each, towards their tuition to attend the following institutions:
- Caribbean Maritime University
- Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts
- Northern Caribbean University
- University College of the Caribbean
- University of Technology, Jamaica
- University of the West Indies, Mona Campus

Secondary Scholarships
The Sagicor Foundation Secondary Scholarship is available to Grade Six students who are dependents of active Group Health Insurance policyholders administered by Sagicor Life Jamaica and who have sat the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) Examinations for the 2025/2026 academic year and will be attending Secondary School in September 2026.
Each scholarship is valued at $50,000 per annum and is renewable annually for up to five years.
